Austin shops?
I'll start by saying I did look at the memories entry, but I only saw two recommendations and they were both for different shops. There could have been more, but damn if that entry isn't crazy long!!
I'm looking for artist recommendations in Austin, TX. Currently I'm looking for someone who's good with script and text, and someone who does traditional Japanese style extremely well. They don't have to be the same artist. I also want someone who's interested in building a relationship with their clientele, I'm a repeat customer who frequently gets large pieces. They don't have to be my best friend, but they need to be friendly and above the belief that they are rock stars just because they are tattoo artists.
My tattoo artist in New Orleans was one of the best in the South, so any new artist I get while I'm here has some big shoes to fill. I expect to pay well for expert quality, but I also don't want to be overcharged just because I'm new to the city. I want to be treated fairly, I know that can be a tall order for some shops.
