Back to the Gym...

Well, I fell off the wagon. Again. So I've picked myself up and am starting to build up the much needed motivation to get back in the gym. But this time I have a new game plan: join the gym at work.

I belong to a gym near home, but I'm not going and it's $$$ down the drain. My community center has a gym, and the only cost is a one-time fee of $15 for a key fob necessary to access the gym. The gym at work is $10/month. My current un-used gym is either $40 or $45/month. So it makes sense that I switch, right? The only things I'll miss are the classes. But I can use the saved money for a yoga studio or dance studio classes.

Pros:
- more convenient to go at work/stay in neighborhood
- undeniably cheaper
- can work out with bzoppa during lunch
- can't use "I'm too tired from working all day" excuse
- I'm assuming the endorphines will promote productivity at work

Cons:
- no classes
- more variety of equipment at current gym
- no lockers at work gym (well, there aren't many and they're given out through a lottery)
- there's a chance of being stinky & sweaty at work

I offered up my proposal to Matt (since we have a joint membership at the current gym, he has a say in whether or not we leave). If he's up for it, we'll be saying good-bye to our gym membership.
