oh the 4th of july, how you bring out all the crazy folks. so yesterday gina and i went and bought a bunch of fireworks (although we didn't set any of them off). my favorite one that i bought was "crazy eyeballs"; fireworks shaped like monster eyeballs that spins and shot sparks. after purchasing fireworks gina and i made our way down to cannery row to play some skee ball. 300 tickets later we are joined by gina's friend ch-ch-charlie and head down to sly mcfly. gina and i order drinks from the bar (she gets a really good bloody mary and i get a disgusting whiskey sour...it tasted like watered down whiskey....GROSS!!!) i love drinking whiskey straight up but i can't stand it being watered down. anyways....the fireworks start soon after that where we meet up with julie, tijuana, and some other random girl. the fireworks over the wharf were pretty cool. the highlight of the show was the heart, star, and smiley face shaped fireworks. the show lasted for about 15 minutes and then everyone headed home after that. but traffic was AWFUL! gina and i were stuck in her jeep and we are pretty hungry. so we started to eat all the random food in her car (year old jelly beans and lycee candy). eventually we get stuck next to this monster of a car (a super raised hummer) that is blasting really crappy "bitches and hos" music. so what do we do? we put on gina's safety goggles and BLAST her japanese vocab cd. PRACTICE SENTENCE ONE!!!!! PRACTICE SENTENCE TWO!!!! it gets the guy to turn off his music for a second and give us the most weird look. i almost peed my pants laughing. then we went back to gina's house where we ate vegan hot dogs and fell asleep watching aqua teen. the end.
