I never post but I'm still alive

Well I figured that since Dave is off playing Risk with the boys and there is nothing on tv for the next 1/2 hour that I might as well take the time to say howdy to everyone out there still reading this thing (I'm sure it's not many)

Today Dave and I went out and finally registered for the baby. (For those who don't know, you read that right. Dave and I are expecting our first child (a boy) this April). I can't believe I am already 26 weeks along. The time is flying by so we figured that registering was def something that had to get done.

Registering for a baby is so different than registering for a wedding. for the wedding I knew exactly (for the most part) what I needed and how much of it I would need. I can pretty much go through the rooms of the house and know what types of things go in them that I do not already own. However, registering for a baby was the exact opposite. Other than a few key items I don't really know what we need. And of course when walking through the store you can figure out that you probably need it all but what type of bottle? what brand of bottle? how many bottles? what if the baby doesn't like the bottles that I pick out? You can't help but have the sense that the sheer volume of items or brand of item registered for is a direct correlation of how much you love or don't love your yet to be born baby. either way I think we registered for just about everything and I keep solace in the fact that I can always go back and add more.

Between the two stores we registered at it took us a little over 4 hours. Throw in a little taco bell and its been a long day for me.

That's the update as it stands. I'm sure I'll post again in another 5 or so months, ha!
