i've been really busy.

it was really good seeing everyone in pittsburgh, hopefully i'll be going there for spring break.

the priest for the funeral was a joke. he didn't even really mention my grandpa or all the stuff he achieved or what kind of person he was, it was lame. all the priest did was read a passage from the bible about ressurection (which i thought he would eventually link to my grandpa...but he didnt) he was horrible and my aunt said he didnt really want to do the funeral. excuse me, but isn't that part of a priests job? ugh. he also kept mentioning how we should go to mass to 'reconnect with god'. um hello, my grandpa didn't even was a mass at his funeral so whatever. it was pretty sad when the veterans came to speak and they did the gun salute and gave my aunt the flag and shells and talked about my grandpa, they did a WAY better job than that stupid priest. here is some of what my grandpa accomplished...(which the priest failed to mention)

1) President of his high school class
2) Fought in WWII, recieved honors/metals
3) Valedvictorian of his college (University of Vermont)
4) Senior Engineer at Westinghouse (starting salary of $310 a month for a college graduate, according to my grandpa's buddy)
5) Kept high school class, army buddies, and Westinghouse workers in touch with each other by creating a newsletter for each, which he continued to do until he died (he graduated high school in 42) there's 34 out of 90 people in his high school class still alive
6) GREAT person, caring, always helping his friends/children/grandchildren/great grand children

he was seriously one of the best people i've ever known.
ps. i love you grandpa!
