California, here I come!
Spring break has officially started. My final spring break as a student. That's momentous. My graduate conducting recital is tomorrow. Also momentous. I'm going to graduate in 2 months...mo'momentous. I met someone who's cute and who I think might like me...monumentous. I'm going to California in less than 48 hours. I think you know where I'm headed with this.
I'm excited and scared and happy and sick all at once. I'm so thankful for all the people who've helped me with my recital. I'm thankful that Dr. Keating and Dr. Cooksey and Dr. Ogg put so much time into making sure that I won't fall on my face for my recital or my comps which are in less than 2 weeks. I'm thankful that no matter what, I'll have a job close to either family or friends that are like family. Goodness, what else...I'm thankful for all the new clothes I bought for California, and thankful for my first short skirt since I was 4. I love that I can now stop in the conservatory office when I need grounded, and Scott is right there all calm and nice. Danielle is driving me to the airport at ass o'clock early, and she's driving to Charlottesville to sing in my recital. Tamara and Brian are coming as well. Davey is giving me butterflies. I'm going to the zoo in San Diego and I hope to see a zebra.
I'm kind of excited about life right now. Which is a new feeling akin to exhilarance. Why aren't I packing?
