Countdown to my 17th consecutive year of school

Wow, when I put it like that, I am totally depressed. Actually, I was totally depressed before, but 17 straight years of school sounds crazy.

Anyway, I've had a busy couple of weeks. Last week I played for the wedding from Hell. It was in the UVA chapel, which of course has no piano. So the one thing I asked was that the keyboard they got me have 88 keys. Okay, no problem, right? Wrong. The night of the rehearsal dinner, the mother of the bride was like, "Oh, by the way, the piano only has 77 keys. Is that alright?" NOOOOOOOO! But alas, it would have to do. But I survived the keyboard, and the children running and screaming through the service, and the cell phones, and singing Shania Twain and Leann Rimes, and I'm a little richer for it.

I've already spent the money, however. Today, I had my cable installed after a month of no tv. The ultimate punishment. So, of course, my tv broke. Broke! I was actually watching it at the time. It made this weird Poltergeist kind of noise and popped. Then, there was no picture, save for a thin strip in the center. So yesterday I went to Sears with Matt and bought a new one. It's a 20" flat screen by Phillips and it cost a pretty penny. Pretty penny. But, today, the cable guy gave me a bunch of free channels. Not too shabby. Plus, I have cable internet now, which means the entries will never stop! I'm just kidding, I'll most likely get bored again.
