Canada, homes and wooden snakes

Jul 11, 2005 19:07

Got back from Canada today.
We stayed in this town named Sidney. It's pretty much full of old people and the only places that are open after 5:30 are this one bookstore and Safeway. We chose to experience the hot night life at Safeway.

In Chinatown in Victoria, I went to this Chinese restaurant. There, I ate pork and chicken. In addition, I saw a goldfish as big as my face.

Does anyone remember Benny, my wooden snake? Remember how I lost him? Well, in Chinatown I found Benny reincarnate, and promptly bought him. My life is now complete.

Except for that I'm leaving tomorrow. To the place where my family lives. Obscureville, Kentucky.
This is home to me. It seems illogical to leave the place where I belong.
But I must.

"I've gotta pee." -Mrs. Kichline
"Don't tell me that!" -Mr. Kichline

I'm going to miss living with these people.

I've given up on wearing pants because Teysha says I'm too fat to wear mine. Additionally, at this Greek restaurant where Vanessa drank 11 glasses of water, we sang "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina" to the cool waiter. Arm-thing and all. He said "It's like I really was looking at Madonna!" We chose to take it as a compliment.
