So it's a BOY!
my sister found out today that she is having a boy. good, cause she was thinking of naming her child "KAYLEE" if it was a girl. I was like WHAT THE FUCK!???! everyone knows that's my future baby girls name. damn.
speaking of which, i saw the cutest babies in the world, they belong to my friend Shannon, she is lucky, her lil girl made my heart melt with jealously.. soon enough i tell myself. soon enough.
I have my first ever band crush. i am completely swoony over the vonegettes. they are good stuff. i hope to get a show with them soon, so you can see what i mean.
the Riner b-day bash was fun times. that is, if you think seeing justin riner completely covered in his own sweat is a good time. then yes, it WAS a good time. haha Justin you're a great preformer.. maybe one of my favorites, you're like a spastic child.
it was a good night
even if
my boyfriend cheated on me! (in the words of Stephaine Tanner "how rude!")
so my band (lookout Tucson) is recording. we are doing 6 or 7 songs? Dick is doing the recordings with his mealticket/pushover resources.. so it's pretty rough and raw, but, that's kinda what we're going for. we hope to have it all finished soon so people can finally hear us.
oh and if you want a good chance to hear us and some other lovely bands then come to CIA on oct. 1st because the wonderful Ronald of the Bentleys was a nice enough to let us play that night with him. it's gonna be fucking hot. the bentleys, the pretty scars AND lookout tucson? spluge, splat... ocean of cum. yeah. pretty much.
hmm lets see anything else i wanted to say?
oh yeah, i rented Mayor of the sunset strip
now, i'm a Rodney Bingenheimer fan. what's not to love? he's a sweet lil guy who loves music. but he's kinda weird right? well lemme tell you a story. a few years back when we (lauren doran and i) were in Sugar Coma there was some weirdness going on and a lady who booked at the Roxy called me and said she hear our song the radio, that rodney had played it. so naturally I was excited. so i decided to call and find out how he got our shitty demo? and what song it was. it was like a few hours of phone tag, then rodney (the rock) called me. we chatted for about an hour or so. he explained that the Sugar Coma he has played was from england (sadness, it wasn't us) but because i had been so excited, he wanted to actually hear us. so he gave me his home address (which i still have somewhere) and asked me to meet up with him at Canters sometime or some other Jewish deli. I told him i'd at least send him a demo. but we wanted to record a new one before sending it. so by the time that was done, we had totally forgotten about it. hmm, maybe i'll send him a lookout tucson demo?
anyway, while talking to him, i kept thinking. "wow for a guy who has connections to pretty much any notable musician of his time, he's fucking strange". But i guess after hearing a bit more about his life i feel sorry for him, and even like him more.
just wondering if anyone else was into him. He gave me some awesome that dog stories. I guess he knew Anna Waronkers mother (who was the singer for the surf band on some episodes of "Frankie and Annette")
i hope he one day will do for me what he did for hole and the go-gos. ahh sweet dreams are made of this.
cheers!
