I had my first interview today--at Ogilvy and Mather.
It went well! She seemed to really like me, and she said she's pass my stuff around to the CDs and stuff. I'd be working in OgilvyOne, the digitally-focused group that is, of course, still a little fledgling thing. Once again, a start-up issue. But now I can bring what I learned from DDB. Learn from our mistakes.
She did say that they're still interviewing for a few weeks (in my head i'm like WEEKS?! HIRE ME NOWWWW!") so it scares me because I just want them to only interview me and no one else and love me. But I guess that's what competition is.
I am SO relieved that I was put into the non-traditional group at DDB. It gives such an edge that I wouldn't have had. It's like, even though nothing was really produced, she didn't really mind that. Because they know how hard it is to sell stuff to clients, I think. I hope!
So in the meantime, I need to work on Creative Circle stuff--they're the other recruiting agency i'm working through. They post a few things each day. I need to get on that. Especially since the Ogilvy thing doesn't seem like it would start for a while.
