it's been awhile

Well, the move to Ellensburg went well. I was able to fit my couch into the apartment (yes), all of my clothes fit (plus room for more...yes yes!!), and I'm almost all set up (yes yes yes!!!)

The best part of the weekend was going to the fair with my good pals Jenny and Traci. I contacted them via the 7-11 pay phone, and then drove over to their pad. It was lovely. After watching Jenny get ready, which is nothing new after living with her for 2 years, and playing with the kitty, we headed out to the fair. The day was spent eating, looking at quilts, eating, looking at 4-H stuff, eating, looking at all of the critters, and I think there was some more eating. It was so great seeing those two ladies. That night, I slept with my window open, and when I woke up at the crack of dawn, literally, I could hear the roosters, cows and horses. It was lovely.

Mercedes got in safely, and we've already had a pretty good time setting everything up and eating together.

i left for Everett on Monday morning and shall return to Ellensburg on Sunday, where I will be reunited with my Love. We're coming up on 2 years together, which is pretty insane if you ask me. Home is good, but nothing can beat my new apartment.

Today is my sister's 8th birthday. i can remember what I wore on the day she was born. Although she is a bit of a monster, I love her dearly.

This Katrina thing is killing me inside. I feel so ungrateful and helpless. I think I'll be heading over to my mom's office today to get soap and other skin stuff, and then go to the Red Cross.

Well, I have a cake to bake and presents to wrap now. Have a great rest of the summer!
