These are the things I think about...
So, while thinking on college earlier today, I started looking around Boston (since that's the most likely choice right now) for somewhere I might could have a job while going to school. I really wanted to work somewhere where there's marine life, being that my declared major will be in Marine Biology. I looked up aquariums and found the New England aquarium near the Boston Harbor. So I looked at employment opportunities and found nothing involving animals. Then, lo and behold, I saw "internships" (albeit, unpaid). So, I click and it says they offer a variety of internships. Well, now I'm curious and interested, so I look at the internship's page. I shuffle through a good many before I find the "Marine Mammal" internship. Words cannot describe how perfect it is. You get to help the trainers with the harbor seals they have there. Granted, dolphins was my first choice, but they don't have those there. It would be incredibly AWESOME if I could get that internship. In the description, it says, and I quote, "Because of the nature of this work (dirty, difficult, not glamorous), the position is really best suited for someone serious about a career in marine mammal training." Good thing that pretty much describes me.
On a completely different note, my dad won a place in Pfizer's (the company he works for) Hall of Fame. This is the largest pharmaceutical company in the world and only a handful of people get in this, so it's a big deal. Well, we were getting ready all the stuff they needed to make his bronze bust and then we get a call today that he may not make it because the trip in 2000 that he won to Hawaii didn't have strict enough criteria. What the HELL is that? They've already told people he's getting in it, so he's already getting congratulations cards. What's he supposed to do now? Go back and tell them that he didn't make it? That's such bullshit.
And on a happier note, mom has pretty much decided to let me go on the company award trip to Atlantis in the Bahamas in the summer with my dad. Which is completely <333. Because, they have their own dolphins there that we're going to go swim with. (Best experience ever, if you get the chance, do it). And I want to go SCUBA diving. Dad wants to go shark diving, but that idea isn't the most appealing thing in the world to me. Eh heh.
At any rate, I'm bored and tired. So, shower and then off to bed with me.
