Saturday night Rob and I went to see The Darjeeling Limited. It was fantastic, likely my favorite Wes Anderson movie out of all them. However, that's not what this post is about. They featured Where Do You Go To My Lovely by Peter Sarstedt, which in turn made me look him up today as I'd not heard of him before. (Another favorite thing about Wes Anderson's movies, his soundtracks are always so so so delightful.) This song is currently my favorite. It's really a beautiful little tune. Here's a youtube video:

"Where do you go to my lovely
When you're alone in your bed
Tell me the thoughts that surround you
I want to look inside your head, yes I do
I remember the back streets of Naples
Two children begging in rags
Both touched with a burning ambition
To shake off their lowly-born tags, so they try
So look into my face Marie-Claire
And remember just who you are
Then go and forget me forever
But I know you still bear the scar, deep inside, yes you do
I know where you go to my lovely
When you're alone in your bed
I know the thoughts that surround you
'Cause I can look inside your head"
Also, something different, before the actual movie was a short that sort of ties into the entire thing called
Hotel Chevalier with Natalie Portman and Jason Schwartzman. Apparently they were showing this online for a short period of time but no longer. Seriously, go see this movie instead of waiting for it to come out or being lame and downloading it. It's really really quite perfects
