ToD Week 22: Truth: Discuss something you hate participating in.

"You son of a bitch!"

The crash was just this side of deafening as a chair splintered against the wall. The dent left behind would mean having to call maintenance, and they would take hours to properly handle it. Until then, the knowledge that it was there would do nothing but aggravate him.

And really, this was the first thing Arthur noticed as he opened the door. He quirked an eyebrow at the cause. Flint and Knox were set to kill each other, for reasons he didn't care about, and heading towards an end that would be counter productive to all of them.

Well, it couldn't always be perfect, could it.

"Excuse me." He interjected, and entered the room once both boys had turned to him. Arthur closed the door behind himself, and turned back again. "What's going on?"

"He--" Flint started, and quickly silenced himself when Arthur raised a hand. He shot a glare to Knox, who rolled his eyes and seemed to have the sense to keep his mouth shut.

"Exactly." Arthur nodded to Knox's silence, lowering his hand and walking to them. "Rhetorical question." He looked towards the wall. "I see you broke a chair."

"He did it." Flint snapped, and was chastised with a look, his eyes dropping to the ground. Blissfully, he didn't offer anything else to the conversation. Knox remained silent.

Arthur let that silence hang for a few moments before he spoke again. "This organization cannot tolerate childish arguments." He stated calmly. "Nor pointless fights that make us unable to work together as a team. If you find yourselves unable to get along, walk away. Or next time I have to break you up, you won't be able to. Understand?"

Another long silence, and they both nodded.

"Good." Arthur turned away, motioning to the chair. "Pick that up and notify maintenance about the dent." He walked out and shut the door, rolling his eyes to himself.

Now for something a little more interesting.
