Training Camp has started
As some of you are no doubt aware, I'm being kept on a relatively short leash this season. So Training Camp will be more intense than in years past, obviously.
I'm really happy with the preparation that everyone's put into camp this season. Especially Danny Markov--he's so intense, all the time. I can see why he winds up spending time in the trainer's room, but hopefully here he won't have that problem. Much. But he'll be such a great fit with Rod and Hilly and Colesy, because they're all intense like he is.
I've been really impressed with some of these enthusiastic young kids, especially Eric Staal and Matej Trojovsky. They're looking really good for such young kids. Even if they don't make the team this season, I think they'll do a lot for us down the road. They're really pushing the veterans on the team, and that can only be good.
This season looks like it will be good. We've all got something to prove, and I think we'll surprise a few people.
