1.25.1: Write a ficlet on the topic of sin.
"Do you know what your sin is?"
It is a question he has asked many men. More often than not, they don't answer. They don't believe that they are capable of sin, or have lost sight of what it means. Blank stares, surprised stutters ... these are what answer his question. So, like a patient teacher, he tells them. Sins of pride, of greed, of lust, of wrath. All laid before him, to be judged.
To be punished.
These men who think themselves to be above their sins, their mistakes. It is his job to show them that they are not. He's very good at what he does. He is cold, ruthless, efficient as he eliminates this moral cancer one man at a time.
It is an ironic position for him, he realizes, to commit sin himself to punish the those of others. But it does not bother him. He knows that in his perfect world, he cannot exist. He is bathed in blood, and nothing can absolve him. But he does not seek forgiveness.
He only seeks to make a better world. All of them ... better worlds.
