Turning 23!
I have such awesome friends, I really do, and I love them all soo much! <3
Celebrated my 23rd birthday early yesterday with the gang because my birthday falls on a Tuesday this year, and to quote val, "Last night was whack!". It was a night packed with surprises after surprises, presents, good food & company and total craziness. I love all of them so much!
Dinner was at Graze at Rochester Park, and it came with the biggest surprise of the night. It was only supposed to be dinner with val & loo, because darryl and mel "couldn't make it". And darryl was trying to piss me off the entire week, trying to act damn hostile towards me, and trying to make me get angry at them for not celebrating my birthday with me. And of course, me being little miss petty, of course I got a little annoyed!
BUT the fact was that they were actually all in cahoots with one another, planning the entire surprise together for me! They secretly showed up when we reached the restaurant! I was beyond words. Really appreciate them spending so much effort to plan the entire thing la! and it was super awesome to be able to spend my birthday with all of them together!
After dinner, we headed to Portsdown Rd to hang out at Klee bar. And surprise part2 came back when darryl said he had to go to his boss's house for awhile, and asked us to go get a table first. HOW SUSPICIOUS! I saw through it right away, so second surprise was a failure!!! He actually went to get the cheesecake that he baked for me. Yes, Darryl baked me a cheesecake!!! and it is not just any ordinary cheesecake, it is the BEST cheesecake in the world, and I can totally swear by it! I don't think I have eaten anything else better than that.
We spend the rest of the night with cheesecake, wine, tons of polaroids and photos, and total madness! People started to get drunk (actually only loo), and everyone just went a little crazy. Thank god we were sitting outside, because we were making hell lot of noise.
They all got me ALL the things that I wanted, and I couldn't ask for anything else! Plus the entire night full of surprises, and fun, I love them too much la! What a memorable and awesome night!
With this wonderful bunch of friends, and honey Jean who flew back from Perth for my birthday... I couldn't ask for anything else better than these precious friends that I have. What a wonderful way to turn 23. I LOVE YOU GUYS! THANKS FOR EVERYTHING! <3
