Yeah so Me Harry Steve Rob Brendon Mason Kenny and Jackie and Sasha went to Portland last night to see D.R.I. but little did we know it was 21+.
So were like fuck it, were just gonna go and find out a way to go in.
So its like 5:30 and its starts at 9. So were just sitting around, wasting time. Played some Dodgebottle. Sat some more...alot more. So Strong Intentions, the band that is going to play before D.R.I. gets here with there shit, and we help them with the stuff to get brownie points.
The thing is, to make people feel bad, we tell them we drove from Burlington Vermont, little did they know we were only an hour away.
So the guys like...fuck you drove from burlington..yeah ill try my hardest to get you in. So were just sitting around more. and more. And we finally just beg the lady if we can get in...but she wont let us. So were just like fuck it well just dance and stand outside because the doors are open. So then D.R.I. and there equipment pulls up and were like hey do you guys need help with that...and Harald there Bassist says sure. We give him the info about our "trip" and he says he'll try to help us out. Hes trying but the asshole guy who owns it wont let us.
So were just like fuck it...if we cant get in we can listen from outside and dance.
So D.R.I. starts up....were dancing on the side walk...all the drunk old guys smoking cigarettes are like HEYYY!!! and putting there hands up like were gonna hit them...or were swinging at them. We do that for a while. Watch D.R.I. for a bit, request some songs.
So were like ok...why dont we dance in the street, there isnt too much room on the sidewalk. So we take it to the streets, were dancing...nothing too rough. Then the fucking asshole owners like...YOU CANT DO THIS SHIT HERE! I CANT GET COMPLAINTS FROM PEOPLE DRIVING IN THE STREET! AT THE END OF THIS YEAR IF I HAVE A COMPLAINT, IT WILL COST ME MORE MONEY FOR INSURANCE! BLAH BLAH BLAH. And were like ok if your not gonna let us dance, then let us in. And he just gives us this bullshit speil about how you cant go in if they are serving beer, even though they have done it at past shows.
Then we left, i stayed at Brendongs, went to drivers ed today. Very Tired.
So all in all it was a good night...D.R.I. is still so fucking good. I got a teeshirt. I bought the Municiple Waste - Waste 'Em All cd...its so good.
