If I believed in karma, then getting shot in the arm would likely be a consequence of my formerly incorrect understanding of the true nature of the human alpha male. Fortunately, I'm rational enough to be aware that it's simply a moderately painful coincidence.
That said, I have to wear a sling for a few days and it's unnecessary to ask if I'm alright. I'm fine.
