I lament that I can no longer confer with the wise council of Jan in my doubledy Science. But the latest is this: although I think contemporary science would have made note of it if they had observed it, as I believe they should be able: I predict that Cancer comes from cell membrane carrier proteins or perhaps, on the other end: Structural Proteins being susceptible to influence by "trapped" ions "hiding" in the Alpha-helices or Beta-folds and carrying them through the ribosomes to influence the ribosomes with some sort of viral technique,, to influence the nucleus, specifically the alleles in the chromatin that control cell growth and reproduction restrictions while the chromatids are too immature for detection. This would mean in brain cancer the cells can influence a cell that is not even reproducing or growing to begin to do so without any restraint. Either way, to test this I shall need a method by which to catalog the ions transfered by carrier or channel proteins and the means by which they achieve this. Another specific point of interest worth investigation is the "Potassium-Sodium Pump" method. To identify any ions embedded in structural proteins, I would test it in a solution of proper pH and temperature and reactivity that can.. ISOTOPES! Check by immersing a solution with an isotope of potassium or sodium that does not react with the structure or composition of the protein. A buffer solution would be needed to maintain a pH within control, but I do not have the pH tolerance of any structural protein. I should acquire this immediately.
