job decision
Well, jobs, jobs, jobs. I am now in the somewhat enviable position of comparing 2 job offers.
1. I could teach private piano MW evenings in a studio school in Grapevine (known for classy Tejas wine) which is about 20 minutes from my accompanying job I accepted in Irving and 35 minutes from Denton.
2. Or...I could teach private piano MTW evenings in a studio school in town (Denton). This will probably pay $1 or 2 less an hour and may include some rare make-up lessons. Also, the other school has paid vacations which is significant.
The biggest factor is whether I want to accept 3 nights of work when I already will be working during the day. Hmmm...
I just started with 3 kids in Plano in private practice, where J&SH live now. SH recommended me these students and they are the cutest of the cutest kids really. Someone could have ordered them from a catalog. They are unfailingly courteous and bright. Teaching them will be my treat. I can rarely be that flowery about teaching younger kids too.
The Beauty & the Beast marathon continues with 4 performances (ThFSaSu) this weekend.
It was the GF's birthday Monday which overall was fun. Good Italian food always goes well. She seemed to find my gift, the book How To Be a Canadian by the Ferguson Bros., really funny.
Oh well, it's off to the show!
