i'd like to start by saying that this weekend was the best weekend ever!
to start, we left for tampa saturday morning at like 8:15 (and we dropped off the puppies at the dog sitters house-WHAT ARE YOU DOOOOOOING?!?!) we stopped at around 11:30 for some lunch at the cracker barrel, where my father and brother practically baught out the candy section of the store. all i got were watermelon sucking candy for my throat (even though they are just candy, not losingers-i spelt that soooo wrong!) once we pass by sarasota, i called taylor (the 22 year old that went to UNF) who lives there. we had planned for him to come and pick me up from the hotel once we got there and we would hang out for a while before dinner and busch gardens. we check into the hotel (REALLY NICE ROOM-other than the shitty shower) and i fixed myself up so i'd look good for taylor. when he called saying he was in the lobby, i got sooo excited! i went down to meet him and he gave me the biggest hug! (followed by a little kiss!) unfortunately, my parents wanted to meet him, so we just said that he was 20 and was a junior at UNF (even though he had just graduated! lol) if anything happens with us in the future, i'll tell my parents the truth, but for now i dont want to overwhelm them. So taylor and i leave and he's hungry, so we stop at Quiznos and he got something to eat and then we drove to the USF campus (which is right across the street from our hotel) and um...yea...we had a good time....a really good time. :)
after i am dropped back off that the Amerisuites, lol-fuck patriotism, we ordered in some pizza and wings for dinner since we were going to Howl-O-Scream, at busch gardens, and we knew that we'd we eating a lot there. when we get there there are hundreds of people waiting outside the gates, and as soon as they open we make a mad dash for the coasters first...we were the first ride of the night on Qwazi! (the new wooden one) I must say that it was amazing! then we had to walk through a "scare zone" to get to Shiekra (scare zone=an area where theres a theme and they pop out and scare you, Shiekra=the newest coaster with two 90 degree drops!) i was sooooooooooo scared! i honestly didnt think i would be, but i really was! Shiekra was great, as was Kumba (as always!) The haunted houses were also really good...we only did two because the lines were mad long and we were really tired and had to get up early the next day. We did the Haunted and After Hours....After Hours was so much more scary! even with the hour long wait to get in! we finally got back to the hotel at like 1 am and i had to get up at 8 to have time to get ready for the school.
so i get up at 8, and go back to sleep till 8:30, i figured i'd be fine on time. i shower from 8:30-9 and we go down stairs for breakfast from 9:30-10, i then come back to the room and start to straighten my hair and watch "love dont cost a thing" because nothing else was on! it was cute. once i finish my hair i do some makeup and we head out for DOWN TOWN TAMPA!!! (GO STATES!) we get into the campus and i am in awe. it is absolutly beautiful! first we went to register and check in. i met with a guy, Troy, who was a senior PAR (Performing Arts=Musical Theatre) major. he was awesome! great guy. after the intro to the school and the spliting into majors, the performing art people follow troy to the PAR building to meet with the professors. I LOVE THE PROFESSORS! they are so nice and very welcoming. of course when they asked if we had any questions i asked what their middle names were and they seemed to really enjoy my sense of humor with that. then we all left the room and got ready for the auditions. i was last....i hate going last! but it was fine....they seemed to really enjoy my pieces and were very positive about everything that they talked about. they told me that they would be intouch with me in the next few weeks. YAY!!!! since i was the last to audition, the dorm tours had already began, so Troy took us (my family) on a PERSONAL TOUR of the school. we went to the dorms (awesome) and the theatre that the school owns and does all its productions at, which is right across the street. Let me say...this theatre is absolutely amazing! it was built in the 1920's for vaudville performaces and now is all revamped and technologically advanced. all in all it was an incredible experience and now if i get into U Arts and UT, it will be a really difficult decision, because i really LOVE THIS SCHOOL!
as u can see it was a very fun filled weekend. comment as you see fit. hope yer weekend was just as awesome, but i doubt it!
