Cassie was yet again, sat indoors on a Friday night.

This time, lounging on her bed and reading a gossip magazine she'd handwavily picked up from the Nook n' Go. Everyone has to love a bit of trashy celebrity news sometimes.

"Hey you," Thelma said as she opened the door in to the room.

Cassie looked up with a little smile. "Hi."

"I... how are you doing?" Thelma asked.

[ihatefrills]

"Okay, I guess," Cassie said flipping the magazine closed. "You?"

[inshiningarmour]

"Doing well, myself," Thelma said. She went and sat at the edge of Cassie's bed. "Did you... know her well?"

"Not very," Cassie replied. "I mean, that girly day aside, I didn't get much chance to talk to her. Lilly was someone I thought might be a potential friend, though."

Thelma nodded. "Doubt she'll be showing up at her funeral like me," she said. "She was a nice one."

"Not everyone decides to hang around like you," Cassie agreed with a little smile.

[inshiningarmour]

"And if she does, well, it'll be nice to have someone like me around," Thelma said.

"I think the situation's a little different with her," Cassie said after a moment. "So it's rather less likely to be the case."

"True," Thelma said. "Just... trying to look on the bright side."

"At least I have you around to remind me of those," Cassie said, giving her another quick smile.

Thelma smiled back. "So, what's the latest gossip in Hollywood?"

[ihatefrills]

"They think Britney Spears is crazy," Cassie replied holding up the cover. "That's not exactly news, though."

[inshiningarmour]

"Not really, no," Thelma said. "Not even fresh gossip."

[ihatefrills]

"Well, we are in the middle of nowhere," Cassie said simply. "Maybe it just takes a while for the news to get out here."
