While watching one of the super-early Doctor Who episodes, I was amused as hell to see that the Daleks had a stun setting. As someone who'd started out with the new season 1 and is now going back and watching the classic episodes, I'd had no idea Daleks had anything less than TOTAL EXTERMINATION. Then I started thinking about the Eddie Izzard bit on Star Trek phasers and epic possible alternate settings for them, and, well. It kinda ended up applying to the Daleks too in my mind. :D;;
