Suck my motherfucking dick medical science, or, Stephanie and the Case of the Missing Vagina

Are you serious? I can find ample information about MRKH online, and even support groups or whatever, but if I want to learn about Murcs-Association (aka MRKH-A) it is impossible to find anything other than this:

"General Discussion

MURCS association is a very rare developmental disorder that affects only females. The acronym MURCS stands for (MU)llerian, (R)enal, (C)ervicothoracic (S)omite abnormalities. This rare disorder is characterized by the absence of the uterus, cervix, and upper part of the vagina (mullerian aplasia); kidney (renal) abnormalities, including absent (agenic) and/or improperly positioned (ectopic) kidneys; and/or malformations of the spinal column, ribs, and/or arms. Some affected females may exhibit additional physical abnormalities, such as malformations of the head and facial (craniofacial) area. In individuals with MURCS association, symptoms vary from case to case.

MURCS association appears to occur randomly, with no apparent cause (sporadic). Some researchers suggest that the malformations associated with this disorder may result from abnormal changes in cellular material (blastema) in portions of the embryo that later develop into the arms, certain bones (vertebrae) in the spinal column, the kidneys, and adjacent structures (e.g., fallopian tubes)."

To learn any more I have to pay a fee to the National Organization for Rare Disorders, because, what, no one has this problem so I should have to pay to learn about my missing reproductive organs?

Doctors know nothing about MRKH or Murcs/MRKH-A. I guess I understand Murcs/MRKH-A being a relative unknown, because apparently it is incredibly rare. But non-associated MRKH affects 1 in 5,000 women, and yet no one knows about it. No one is funding research because, while MRKH is not uncommon at all, the only people it affects are women. And no one cares about women, especially women with missing vaginas.

Okay, now, a very serious question, one to which I would very much like to know the answer:
Being a "woman," with MRKH and Murcs, how am I supposed to give a shit about science? Science doesn't give a shit about me.

mrkh, birth defects, rarity, mrkh-a
