I have those leaves from tuochatea.com. They're gorgeous, and have a really nice faint sweetness to them. I split a shipment with two coworkers, which cut down on the pain of shipping from China.

The buds look exactly like the ones you show there. I expect that they will age quite nicely.

Thanks for the recommendation! I wonder if they have the same hint of spiciness as my sample? I was meaning to do an order from Tuochatea anyway to get another trio of their Tibetan mushroom pu-erh (they age surprisingly quickly - mine are only 2.5 years old and have gone from raw green to a nice smooth mid-ripened darkness, and every step of aging had and intriguing depth of flavors).

Did you try any of their other teas? My experience with Tuuchateas has been hit or miss -- they have some VERY good teas, but they also have some extremely mediocre ones as well, and price doesn't seem to be a reliable indicator of quality.
