I love Metal shows.
Disclaimer: No, I don't think all metal heads are violent or moronic. Unfortunatly, the metal heads in this area seam to have a higher percentage of people like this, at least judging by the amount of problems we have at these types of shows over others.
Tonight's winners:
3rd place : Dude who showed up 2 hours into the show right after the 2nd opener had finished and long before the headliner, who tried to return his ticket because he missed the band he wanted to see (one of the openers). I'm sorry dude, but you bought a ticket for the band that's listed on your ticket, not the opener. I don't totally fault the guy, but try scalping your ticket when I tell you I can't take returns instead of getting angry at me and arguing with me for 10 minutes.
2nd place: Dude who yells at me about security not letting him in while he was intoxicated, because that rule was not listed on the back of the ticket (because all of our rules can be written on the back of a 1.5"x4" piece of paper). He then proceeds to tell me that this is against federal law and he was going to call Ticket Master and the Federal Government and continued to yell at me for another 5 minutes. Last I checked being intoxicated in public was against the law, but hey, what do I know?
1st place: 2 Dudes that tried to fight each other out front and got broken up by security not once, not twice, but three times. The one guy walked off and the other chased him down and they got into a fight on the corner. I had to call the cops on them.
Thank god I can go home now. Yay.
EDIT: I'm in the middle of doing paperwork and my blinds are closed so I can't see anything on the street. But I hear a loud BANG on my window maybe 5 minutes ago. Apparently some cop threw a guy right up against it who was, again, trying to pick a fight.
