2 Marvel Recs

You guys, I am on the verge of a full-on toddler melt-down. In the past week, I have flown home from Kathmandu via Chicago and Abu Dhabi, stayed home for 24 hours, and then driven to Dallas to visit my sister before she moves to Belgium. That's five cities in seven days, and I am jet lagged as fuck and keep waking up wondering where I am. Luckily, I am home now and plan to be for the forseeable future.

In happy news, I read some good fanfic!

let the girl go (5915 words) by dirgewithoutmusic
- Melinda May, Phil Coulson, various members of the SHIELD team
A fabulous, comprehensive back story for Melinda May, starting with snippets of her childhood and moving all the way through the season finale. Bonus points for a thoughtful exploration of the events that led her to become "the Cavalry."

untitled 512 (whenever i'm alone with you) (2098 words) by traveller
- Natasha Romanov/Sam Wilson
A sweet, sad, and ultimately hopeful story about Natasha learning to negotiate a sexual and emotional relationship for the first time. Vague references to past sexual trauma.
