This is awesome! I love Gaila's voice! Also, the hints of S/U were sweet, and referring to McCoy as Kirk's "doctor boyfriend" made me laugh.

But what is she, a Vulcan? The exact number doesn't matter; what's really important is that even though all these people want her, she doesn't have to have any of them. She could turn down every single one and not have sex all year. But again, what is she, a Vulcan? Truth is, she probably won't turn down any of them. But she will pick and choose the same way she does food in the mess hall; she'll try everything, eventually, but only when she's in the mood ( ... )

I was thinking of you when I wrote the line about Kirk's doctor boyfriend. I personally believe they are just friends, but Gaila wouldn't, and I was hoping you'd find it funny.

Well-- you succeeded. You just have her pitch-perfect, and she's poignant and brilliant and wonderful. (And I think K/M are probably just friends, too, not that it will stop me from writing them into lots and lots of slash anyway. The joys of fanfiction...)
