Oh my gosh, I was paging lazily through my flist on my phone when I saw that you had remixed this and I literally leaped out of bed to fire up my laptop so I could read it properly! I just love Ama's stuff and her world-building, even in something as short and sweet as Rocket Science, and I knew that you would make this into something truly spectacular! Definitely not disappointed!

Sulu owns my heart, as he always does, and I just love him here-- a combination of awkward geek and total bad-ass and genuinely caring friend. I love how his friendship with Chekov grows and his fierce protective streak. And the little details-- like pilots with space swords getting a lot of action (um, yes, yes, they would ...) and how he worshiped his lesbian aunt and his own embarrassing first time. What can I say? You know that I love him. *swoons*

Chekov is darling here and I just love his unbridled enthusiasm and scientific approach to the whole thing. And Gaila was such an awesome touch-- I love that Sulu goes to her for help, that she takes a swing at him, the bits about her being able to assemble a phaser blindfolded and jury-rig systems (hello engineering/computer genius Gaila, oh, how I love you!) and just her general empathy and friendship. She's such a star. And Sulu's crush on her is pretty adorable. :) hehe!

Awww, I'm all asmile! This is so sweet and there is Chekov and there is Sulu and there is Gaila and all is well in my world!
