SHOWTIME!!
Fudge and I were in our very first show today!!
I met Sarah at the paddocks at 8am. I washed Fudges socks (and one white pastern). It started raining so we went into the stables. We gave Fudge a damn good brushing, and tacked her up. I walked Fudge down to the showgrounds with Neroli and Kate helping me. Sarah drove behind us with the hazard lights on. Fudge only had one dance on the road, we turned down a side street and she freaked. Got to the showgrounds about 10am. We did finishing touches on Fudge, sprayed her coat and made it shiny and oiled her hooves. Sarah and I both rode Fudge, cause the pony Sarah was going to ride is lame as of last Sunday. Fudge was a little bit on the SPASTIC side. She’s only been ridden maybe twice in two weeks. (I hate winter!!) She was so super fresh. We rode her in her eggbutt snaffle and a cavesson noseband. I soon put her in the drop though cause she was being silly. We got third in best presented pony, third in best paced pony and second in best walking. There’s no firsts but oh well, that’s okay, it’s our first show, I'm proud of her! My lil girlie couldn’t stand still when we had to line up. At the end of the show I tied Fudge up in the stable. She couldn’t stop neighing. She even reared (again) about four times. One of those times it was like she was in slow motion, looked kind of cool, but again she could have bumped her head! We saw lakeviewfarm 's friend Sara, and she had a float so she gave Fudge a ride back to the paddocks:) I helped the girls (Kate and Neroli) muck out. They helped me on the road so that was fair. Oh yeah! I was talking to this little girls mum when I wasn’t riding and she was really interested in buying Fudge. I’m like ‘I just bought her! And there is no way I’m ever going to sell her’. She asked me SO many questions about her. Today was the best day I’ve had in ages, showing is so much fun! I’m definitely going to enter lots more shows. Yay!
Last night Tania and I went to see ‘Bliss’ at the Court theatre. It was so damn good and I would definitely see it again. There were only three actors. Tania knows the girl so we talked to her afterwards. The guy actor came and introduced himself to us at the end. He was like, you guys were in the front row weren’t you? I could see your feet. I like thinking about peoples personalities by the shoes they wear. He was random!! That was a mac daddy production.
We went and picked up Jen and Gabrielle, went to J’s party. It was real dodgy aye. The whole place totally reeked of weed. We left within 10 minutes, but it was good I got to catch up with J and Toni.
I got a txt from Tray after I dropped the girls off. She was at her mates house (I previously bought them alcohol and two of them were piss drunk) One of them started power chucking all over her kitchen floor. It was discusting! The other was trying to beat me up and grope my feet. I dropped Mikayla home and bought Tray back here. Got to bed about 1am. I had to get up for the show at 6:30!!
