Well it wasn't awful. Actually, apart from moments of being cold, wet, and windswept, I quite enjoyed it.
It's traditionally a plot-light event for us, but even more so this year due to rain making it generally unsafe to run any of our non-talkie Sunday encounters. Probably just as well given half our team got hit with lurgy!
Got through rules test just about. Annoyed with myself for talking myself out of a couple of correct answers, but it didn't change the outcome so all is well. I like the new system of having our own jackets. Makes things so much easier and better organised.
Nazareth didn't have too bad a time of it. Got roped into Council meeting as the most senior sheriff present. It was... pretty much as expected. There was some insight to be gained. Just went on a bit long - and even that was with an emergency halt to proceedings. The continuation the next day was a bit better I think. She also worked up the guts to ask for what she wanted in the PBs Men - only to find it was coming her way anyway :) She also spent muchos time in the Bards Guild singing and drumming and hiding from the rain. This too was all good. Getting a bit more confidence in all that :)
Made the conscious decision to miss the Entertainer's competition in favour of going to the bar with the unit. Turned out to be the right decision. There was much comraderie and fun and laughter despite the horrid weather. A definite highlight of the event as we got a bit silly playing "Roll a Three" :) More of it.
The weather sucked but I had a good time despite it and have a few paths to follow both ic and as a plot bod :)
Really looking forward to the Moots. Going to both. My intention is for Moot 1 to be faction moot (featuring some wearing of my own personal marshall's jacket), and Moot 2 shall be my guild moot :)
