Upselling
Friday @ Leon on Canary Wharf (where we were buying lunch):
The woman behind the counter asks my colleague "Would you like a cake because its weekend?"
"No I wouldn't, but good upsell attempt."
Yesterday @ Tate Modern (at 5:30) a young man at the line for Gauguin tickets asks:
"Would you like to see the exhibition today?"
"Why yes but not sure about the timing yet"
"The nearest you can get tickets for is 7:30 - but if you would like to become a member of the Tate you can get in for free right now without waiting in line..."
Anyway for the next 15 months I'm a Tate Member.
