Mardin Artuklu University, Turkey, invites applications for full-time positions in History, Philosophy, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Political Science, Economics, Art History, Archeology, Architecture, Turkish Language and Literature, Kurdish Language and Literature, Syriac Language and Literature, Arabic Language and Literature, and Persian Language and Literature. Positions are available for candidates at all ranks beginning in September 2011 or earlier. Successful candidates, once hired, are expected to fulfill their respective Department’s requirements with regard to teaching, research, record of publications, and service to the institution. Junior candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. at the time of appointment. All candidates should have an excellent command of English or Turkish and a strong commitment to teaching and research.
Mardin Artuklu University (ARTUKLU) is a newly founded, public university which has put forward a vision of research and teaching in social sciences, humanities and architecture. ARTUKLU aims to be an elite research university in especially the Middle East region. The medium of instruction is English and Turkish. The campus is located in Mardin, south east region of Turkey which is thousands years old historical city.
