What a football club

LIVERPOOL FC 2005 UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE CHAMPIONS

The Game in itself was absolutely stunning. Not only did I make 50 bucks, but I got extremely drunk during the afternoon, and watched probably the best champions league final in modern history. AC milan opened the scoring 1 minute into the game when paolo maldini flicked a cross into the back of the net. That was added by two brilliant goals by hermann crespo, leaving the crowd i was in the company with stunned. Not only were the mighty reds down 3-0 at half, but they were down to perhaps the most defensively-organized clubs in euro history led by coach Ancelotti. It was a tall order for the boys from Anfield road to come back. Steve Gerrard trimmed the deficit to three-one 9 minutes into the second half, but still they were down by two and AC had to have strict defense on the menu. But three minutes later, substitute vlad simicer struck the ball beautifully from well outside the area and it beat the brazilian dida and all of a sudden "the impossible has suddenly become the quite possible" and we were excited to be down only three-two with well over 30 mins of football remaining. 3 minutes later captain gerrard was hauled down in the area on what can only be considered a questionable offence, but it was warrant of a penalty kick. Xani Alonso was the taker of the kick, and dida stopped the original shot but alonso beat everyone and buried his own rebound. all of a sudden, it was a tie draw. And we were all singing, dancing and chanting and drinking carlsberg with such ferocity anticipating the magic that was occuring before our very eyes. The game went to penalty kicks, and Liverpool won on the magic of Dudek ("the big pole in our goal") and goals by Dirjabl (sp>) cisse, and Simicier and thus allowing liverpool to be back on top of europe for the first time in 21 seasons. It was amazing, and they only needed 7 minutes to erase a 3 goal deficit against the mighty italian side that features the likes of Chevchenko, Kaka, Clarence Seedorf, Crespo, Kofu, amongst others. It was AMAZING! I can only feel sympathy for the italian side who must be completely in awe of this greatness, but the sun surely shone on the mighty reds who triumphed in the greatest comeback in champions league history. My God what a game... got pretty drunk too, quelle surprise.

THE SHOWS THIS PAST WEEK

The Show on sunday night at the whippet was pretty much straight up hardcore. It was good times, about 40-50 kids showed up for a sXe show, monster remonster, xliferuinerx, waking judea, and sons of azarel. Good times! Poor Sarah, and she feels completely out of place at shows like this, Got tackled (punched in the nose) into the girls washroom. I hope she is okay and i hope this doesn't taint the image of coming ot hardcore shows, because generally, they are quite fun, but not when you get beat up by the biggest people i suppose. It was great to see so many friends out at this show. The Red Chord On tuesday night was pretty good, but surprisingly, not as good as the show on sunday. Despised Icon, was off the hook as usual. Fuck I love that band. If Hope Dies was better then i expected, And design for dying was intense and heavy as I remember. Good guys too. The turn out that day was a complete let down though. I was surprised more people didn't come out for red chord. Oh well, you snooze you lose.

Good times were had, with plenty to follow in what should be a great summer.
