new orleans: day six, journal entry number one
today i woke up somewhat early, for the first time since i've been here. anis and i went and met rebecca and a guy called noel at the rue, where we didn't do anything. then we went to some stores. i got a new dress and necklace. shortly thereafter we (anis, noel, rebecca, and i) went to slim goodies where we had breakfast and i tried cheese grits (outrageous and gross).
anis and noel and i went to pick up jane, and this new party of four went to inspect the lower ninth ward, which was lousy. we then went and re-met with rebecca at her friend jackie's house, where we drank cokes, watched cat montages, and baked cookies in order to remove ourselves from the rainstorm that was occurring outside. jane then dropped anis and i off here, at his parent's house, where we will have dinner, followed by a possibly mellow night out with the aforementioned crowd.
our final day in new orleans is proving to be the most fun one to date!
