Sometimes you just wonder where the hell the time has gone. Saying that... I can't honestly say that I recall doing anything especially time consuming or even worthwhile.
Been job hunting constantly... not that there's been much going. It all seems to be temporary placements of up to a year (if you're lucky) or part-time. Kinda depressing.
Anyway, I've applied for one in the Museum and Heritage Dept. of Glasgow Council, there's an archive assistant job opened up in Cumbernauld and also some freelance illustration work may well be on the cards.
*shrugs* Meh! The excitement of setting off into the big, bad 'real' world has worn off pretty damn quickly. Was it ever exciting to begin with? No wonder I put it off for so long. Truth be told I'd love to go back to Uni and do a doctorate. Maybe later *le sigh*
Been doing some extremely simple graphic stuff for The Libraries, as requested by the Big HighHeid Yin. She was impressed. Doesn't say much for the so-called professional graphics dept. that the council has though really. I haven't seriously drawn, illustrated or designed anything for... well a good few years. Still, riding a bike and all that *G*
I've just sent her a wee animation to use as an advert so I'll see what the reaction is to that tomorrow.
The Librarian (not the uber-talented Jo) but my boss, a.k.a. Bride of Frankenstein, Jungle Jane (because of the rather unruly oxter hair), Rosie of the River (cause she often looks like she's just been dragged out of the Clyde) and many other delightful sobriquets that I will not mention here, has not been a happy camper because of this at all. Nope. Not one little, wee iota of a bit.
This in turn has, of course, amused the hell out of me.
Well, it's past my bedtime so I'll be off.
Nighty night!
