saw hancock.
I dug it.
Oh fuck, that was Charlize Theron. A+++. that woman is an entity of pure rage and boiling emotion, I fucking love her.
seriously though, I liked the story, it was different. The people were way, way more realistic than you usually get in anything these days, and not in that way where it's all dramatic and/or romantic (at least, not just in that way) the personality types came through strong and different in every single person, which is a marker of talent not just in the actors, but also the writer/s. I really, really appreciated the rather dim yet "hope in darkness" feel of the entire movie, wherein the ending is not fairy tale but is absolutely what should've happened in a realistic context.
I don't really hate much about movies these days, I don't know if that's a sign of growth(in either myself or the movie industry), desensitization, or mental degeneration, but whatever the case, I like it. It's nice to come away from a movie not displeased inherently with anything, indeed most of the time when I'm watching movies I'm taking in every anatomical detail. Like will smith has possibly the perfect jaw, and charlize theron has some traits rather similar to my own in nose, mouth, and lower face width, and isn't really incredibly attractive, but she is intense and striking. Also the guy who played PR dude had the oddest nose I'd ever seen.
Also, "norwegian homo" needs to be made into a superhero just for the sake of it.
I mean, I think the only thing I noticed and generally disliked to any capacity was the rather blatantly unreal physics in some cases - like the train coming to an abrupt stop when it hit hancock rather than tearing apart where it hit and the rest carrying on with the force of momentum past him, though that may be uneducated conjecture.
I wonder if Vy Vincent Ngo's done anything else...
