itunes plugins.

Anyone know if there's a program or plug-in that helps add the correct year to songs in iTunes? I use iArt for adding album cover art for music -- it's not always accurate, but it does the job. I wondered if there's something similar for the song years. Or if that might be too complicated. Usually I don't care about adding the correct years (except ( Read more... )

I'm checking that out now. Thanks for mentioning it! It's pretty awesome. I'm surprised it does that much!

I confess, I wikied all mine. All my song info was screwed anyway so I needed too, but man it took forever.

I thought about doing that but ughhh. I get too picky with that stuff and it'd take me forever. I've had times where I go and spend HOURS sorting through it all, but to Wiki it might drive me... insane-er. ;)

about how "not always" is iArt? like, 80% accurate? 50%? because the built-in cover art finder is pants.

I think it depends on the artist and type of song -- let's say it's a one hit wonder from the '70's, it'll use album cover art from a music collection rather than the original artist's album cover. But it also has the option to pick what sites the program searches through (Amazon or Google Images, I think) and you can also let it run automatically or select the images yourself as it goes through, so there's those options at least.

So maybe like 65-75% accurate, depending on what setting you're running and how much you let it go automatically versus picking art yourself, I guess?
