Posted fic last night, which coincidentally deals with the undead. Or Evil Dead, boys, an old abandoned movie theater, and sex. Because you can never get enough of ED references with SPN. Or... movies, but I digress. You'd think I'd say something else? Tsk.
double feature (soft and heartland)
Supernatural, Sam/Dean (NC-17), 4,240 words
The movies are fun, sure, but going to them, now that’s the best part,‘cause there’s popcorn and ice-cream, rickety old seats, and Sam laughing, loud and braying, at bad make-up and CGI monsters. And doing their jobs, the family business, killing the real monsters, so that only the make-believe ones, on film, live on.
I swear, I am writing non-NC-17 ones. Or, actually, they may be NC-17, but there's additional plot and torture for the boys.
It sounds fake, but with sources pointing to yes... I guess we'll have to wait and see. I admit my knee-jerk reaction was a world of no, but I'm not going to flip out over it and I hope fandom doesn't implode. Didn't that happen last summer with Jo? (And I like Jo. With extra special bias to her name because abbreviation for my middle name. Yes, I can be easily pleased. My grandfather, uncle, and cousin are all named Sam, too).
If it works, it works, if not, then Kripke can change it -- he did with Jo. Though that's not necessarily good to cater to fan demands but if these female regulars are being pushed by the network then I don't know. Frankly I hoped they'd switch the show to Sundays instead of keeping it in the killer time slot so therefore lower ratings -> network prodding -> Buffy and Faith replacements girls.
Two other thoughts:
1) Femslash. Whaaat?
2) If we're getting a bodyswap episode -- and keep hoping, because they'd be silly if they don't do it as the funny episode this year -- I am all for the boys swapping but um, a little part of me? Wants boys swapping with girls. I wonder why...
I'm trying to figure out how to do a layout based on CSS customizations for a particular layout (doesn't matter which one right now) instead of the usual hacked and slashed theme layer but... with tables and a number of images for a header rather than one sole image. This? Is why it's taken me friggin' months to do a new layout. Can't be a easy header image anymore, no, it's images, what the hell. Any input on this is gladly appreciated.
