The next time I plan to watch something like Salvation and Devil's Trap back to back, for the first time ever, before class, please pull me away because I have not been able to concentrate at all, all day long.
I have finished the first season of Supernatural and I have a lot to talk about.
Before anyone asks, I've been spoiled silly for S2, so I knew going in that John would die (watched half of In My Time Of Dying before zipping away to school), John's secret, and before all that, the Impala being crushed with the Winchesters in it. Kind of hard to avoid that when the episode originally aired. (Ahh, the day of the widespread "OMGWTF!?!" that rang 'round LJ). Except still, the way it played out I expected the car to be crushed head on rather than from the side, so it became unexpected and I just sat there with my mouth open, screaming, even though I knew they'd be okay, they're alive, I did see Tall Tales before I started to finish S1 again.
I don't know how you people waited between to figure out what happened. A lot has changed from me knowing but not exactly caring, to now? I want to know, badly, because boys.
Remember when Angel got put in the coffin at the end of S3? It's like that. Kind of. Haven't felt that urgency in a while.
Anyway, going back to the main subject, I really love this show now. It started out okay, but the interest didn't fully hold me until around Skin. I've already talked about this before, so I'll talk about what I do like. I love Dean; I love his brashness, his protective love for his brother, his silliness, smile and.. yeah, that's been covered tons of other places, so I don't need to go into that here. I also love Sam like you wouldn't believe, the potential in him is a big part of that. What lurks there. (This is the point where I admit I've seen parts of Born Under A Bad Sign and I couldn't fucking help it; the contacts kill me in a good way.) I do like the Wincest, I like it a lot. I like other things, but I'm a little tired to go into them now, so if anyone has any specific questions or comments about that, leave one and I'll try to answer with the least amount of exclamation points possible. (Ex: "How awesome is Dean?" "VERY, VERY, WITH SPARKLES AND JARED PIGTAILS TYPE OF AWESOME!11!!")
I think I'll try to catch up this week (re-run this week so that gives me more time) and perhaps try my hand at making some more SPN icons. It's been a while since I've made TV show icons. I've got a post building up with the random ones I've made over the past few months.
