jack's smirking revenge

gentlemen, welcome to beltway fight club....

so another address to congress comes and goes, and as usual ive watched some of the highlights, and read the response, the republicans continue to get their rebuttals from "authorities" within the deep south, in this case a heart surgeon turned congressman, and they continue to get their tactics from the kindergarten classroom, with one of their members heckling obama mid speach last night only to run like hell as soon as the speach was over... this kind of childish response seems to be the natural republican response as of late, trying to scream down a address to children when you fear what may be in it (but actually isnt), preaching about death pannels and letting grandma die when you cant be bothered to read the entirety of a bill proposed, i mean really the problem lately has been the juvinality of them and their constituants, i mean really who the fuck brings a gun to a townhall meeting where theyre just comming to speak with their representitives, i mean really i feel like im crazy a lot of the time but lately, ive been feeling like im the only sane one left..

reguarding the 900 billion (over 10 years) cost, if you trust what obama says that breaks down to:

"less than what we have spent on the iraq and afghanistan wars, and less than the tax cuts for the rich"

i cant speak for the tax cuts, but iraq and afghanistan has cost the us over a trillion, possibly 2, in just a few years time, we're talking less than that across 10 years...
i dunno i just feel like the people who are truly against this are those who have never worried about their viability to survive due to lack of insurance, i have a vested intrest in this one due to the fact i continuously dont have insurance save for in small spurts, and im constantly trying to not get sick lest i have to go to the doctor without insurance, as is the lack of constant dental upkeep has cost me a tooth for sure and there are some others that look super sketchy cause i cant afford to get them fixed...

its just really difficult to get by and i think we need some manner of comprehensive care, i mean the cost alone makes private health care unrealistic, not with the general cost of survival built in too, we need something.

not that i would, i mean i dont want to sink to their level, but if you want to take the time to heckle joe wilson (the republican heckler during the speach last night) heres his contact info as listed on the website congress.org:

Website: joewilson.house.gov
Phone: (202) 225-2452
Phone: (843) 521-2530

personally i just want the republicans to stop stalling on this one, if they really wanted to reform healthcare, they couldve done it. but they spent their years as a majority doing other things, like starting a war or 2.... so when they ask you to just wait or start over, lets face it, its a stall tactic....

"i am not the first president to take up this fight, but i am determined to be the last"

fuckin a man.
fuckin a.
