I played in the woods. well, me and some friends. there is a wicked bike trail out there with little wooden bridges, rollercoaster track, and really steep split jumps, and it goes on forever too. somebody put a lot of time into all that. there are also a bunch of little walking trails. I love it. oh man, and someone left a whole train just parked out there. of course I had to find a way inside and on top of the train, which I did. I prefer the top, I did the movie style running on the top of the train jumping cars thing.... I want to go out there with a couple cans of spray paint. make a giant bunny and some stick people, lol.... and a robot! for somereason everytime I'm defacing public property I put a robot on it, at least he's a cute robot.

the trails were muddy, so I took off my sandals and went barefoot. I became instantly happy when the mud started squishing up between my toes because (A) it feels nice and (B) it reminded me of summer, and I'm so ready for the summer.

we played in an orchard, climbed the trees mostly. they were all lined up neatly in rows like wooden soldiers waiting on the call to move on Dunsinane Hill. I have tree bite marks all over my arms and legs, lol. ricky discovered that the thin bark covered in this gnarly moss actually worked, and looked, quite nicely as a barett.

we also waded through the creek that ran along side the train for a good while. the water was cold but it was refreshing, and just like the first few cold days at the waterfall, you get used to it and then it's not bad at all. I was real impressed that the girls with us hadn't been bitching about anything, they were just having fun. they were champs. we came out of the woods somewhere past the train slightly after sunset in the midst of twilight. it was just a big open field. it was still clear skies where we were but we watched a storm roll in from the dark side over columbus, there was lightning rolling around in the clouds.  we sat there smoking cloves, talking, and just watching the clouds. fantastic.

we had to walk back through the woods in the dark. probably a mile and a half. I'm not quite sure how we managed that one, I couldn't see a thing.... I'm pretty sure the beards had something to do with it. beards increase a mans sense of direction by nearly 75%, so yeah. it a scientific fact.

the only way a bearded man can't find where he is going is if he is using GPS. if GPS signals mix with beard signals then you're about to get hopelessly lost, lol.

what a wonderfull day....
