Doctor's Appointment

Oct 31, 2023 22:40

I'm still pissed that my doctor is a 1-hour commute.
It's better than having no doctor, but still!

An hour to get there, 30-40 minutes to wait (to be seen), 10 minutes to discuss, then an hour to commute back (based on traffic).
It took over an hour to return cause rush hour traffic was so awful.

On my way to the clinic, I caught sight of a mini Asian shop (with fuzzies in the windowsill) so I had to investigate. There were shelves of boba plush, selling for $11.99/ea, but I had to make my way to the clinic. I proceeded to spend 30 minutes trying to talk myself out of buying another plush.
Finally the doctor saw me and we talked about my bloodwork (and vitals). She didn't even prescribe me anything, just told me to take 2 Vitamin D capsules. >.< Tried to get her to prescribe me more Zopiclone but she wanted to know why I was taking "so much" (I take it 1x/week when I can't sleep) and she also said that I shouldn't become dependent on it AND she has "never prescribed it before" (to me). Which is nuts because she absolutely did, but I wasn't about to get into a "did too, did not" argument with my doctor.

Went back to the plaza and decided to buy the boba plush. Clerk told me there was a "Buy 1, get 2 free" deal. At first I thought I was hearing incorrectly and she meant "Buy 1, get a 2nd 50% off" or something. Nope, it was Buy 1, Get 2 Free promotion. I brought home three new plushies worth $40, but only had to pay $13. What a steal! (nabbed a burger plush for Gar)

In other news, Gar took Phoebe to the vet. It cost $60 for the evaluation, and $120 for the medicine.
We're hoping she has an ear infection, that it clears up, because if it doesn't, then it's probably neurological (and can't be fixed or healed).
