During my last visit, Mom freaked out when I presented her with her Mother’s Day gift. She took one look at the box, then scolded me saying “You can’t afford to throw hundreds of dollars on me!” To which I replied “You don’t even know what it is!” And she said “I don’t need to know what it is - I can recognize the box is from Pandora.”
The trinket in question was only $30 ;) But she doesn’t need to know that!
Dad came home maybe ten minutes later, if that, and when I went to stash some chocolates in my bag (they pick up discounted chocolate for me almost every visit) and turned around, Dad presented me with a box.
It was a brand new space grey iPad. *sigh* They don’t know I already bought a gold one 2-3 months ago, so I wasn’t about to say anything. But I can’t not use it and have them wondering where I got the extra iPad from >_> While I did mention wanting one back around Christmas... that was SEVEN MONTHS AGO. I have a well-paying job, by now I could just get one myself @_@
(They said it was because they knew the iPad Mini 4 broke on me after it was supposed to be a second-hand gift, so they felt reallly bad.)
