when i sell out and leave omaha

Okay, flist, big (?) news: The New Guy asked me to come home with him for Easter.

I put a question mark after big because I'm not sure if this is a "come meet my family" or a "this is just somewhere to spend the night" kind of thing.

There's a concert Saturday night in Omaha and he asked me to come. Okay. So I said that afterwards I could just spend the night with my mom, and he said, "Why don't you come home with me?" Apparently, his dad is cooking Cajun food. Granted, his roommate is also making this trip, so it's not like he's Bringing a Girl Home, but...I can't help but think that this is a sort of big-ish deal. And, lucky for me, is family is super not-religious (I got laughed at when I asked if I should bring church clothes), so I don't have to worry about that, but...I'm SO nervous. What if his parents don't like me?! Is this his idea of a "you're my girlfriend now" kind of trip? So confused. But a little excited.

AND I think I met the ex-girlfriend figure. I looked at his photos on Facebook and there's a lot of him with this redheaded girl, who we shall heretofore refer to as Pippy. I gathered, based on the amount of formal pictures of them together, that she was his ex, or at least someone he was involved with. And, of course, I felt rather resentful, because I'm me. Anyway, there was a movie showing outside in the quad last night and I went to sit with him and lo and behold, Pippy showed up. I thought it was going to be super-weird, but he introduced us and held my hand because I think he could tell I was a little weirded out. She was sort of cool but sort of full of herself. Not really that interesting, I just thought it was funny that I knew (or had concluded) so much about their situation and they had no idea that I'm a stalker.
