so I just got back from the one class on my schedule that just makes me want to dig my eyes out with a spoon 15 minutes into it. I just feel bad when I can see only 4 or 5 people out of 90 that are actually paying attention. so I try. I try to pay attention and take notes. only then to look back at my paper and see more doodles of flowers and snails than actual notes on the reformation or the enlightenment. then on top of already being distracted by my wandering brain full of ideas on what I want to do for my birthday or what fish I should buy next or what kind of smoothie I want to try today, I see a giant I mean GIANT spider running across the carpet between the desks. I couldn’t stop watching it and hoping that it wouldn’t come close to me. but then hoping that it would so that I could step on it. and then realizing that before I could step on it I would panic and yell and jump around and completely wake the 2 sleeping students next to me. but then thinking that my disruption caused by this spider would likely be a welcome distraction from my professor who is rambling on about something or other that at this point all sounds the same anyway, and the more I try and pay attention to him the more I start to notice that he looks kind of like a big potato wearing a polo shirt. then it hit me that he is the 2n teacher ive had that looked like a potato. I guess people from Idaho all look like potatoes. then class was over 20 minutes early. and I was happy.
