These days, it seems to be taking a lot less work to build a buzz. Three beer and I'm already light-headed. I assume it has something to do with that hollow feeling in my gut. And here I was thinking it was just apprehension about the storm. Seems like it’s been building for days, but instead of raining, the clouds are just getting blacker. It’s eerie.
I was in Cena the other day, and man, the sidewalks there are just gross. I don’t normally notice because there are people around usually, but I haven’t been seeing too many souls out there. You wouldn’t imagine some of the stains you see. There was this one by an alley way, if it hadn’t been so black from the traffic grime I’d say it was blood.
Actually, now that I think about it, there had been a bone by it. An animal leg, maybe a dog or something. It was picked pretty clean; otherwise I might have picked it up. I seem to recall something about...never mind.
The radio station seems to be mostly static lately. The electricity in the storm must be scrambling the signal.

Shit’s really starting to hit the fan down there, the animal wasn’t the only dead thing I saw. Course they body hasn’t been picked up yet either. I remember learning that plagues start that way.
Guess it’s a good thing the military was really uppity about inoculations. Well, good thing for me anyway. Actually, maybe not.
Border control’s gotten tighter around Ceno, which doesn’t surprise me really but definitely confirms my interpretation of the severity of the food shortage. The guards didn’t look too stressed though, they didn’t have that wild look of desperation I thought I’d never have to see again. Guess that means things are still ok on that side of the fence.
Hey Obito, I can't get to the other side of the fence right now. You’ll watch out for her right? You can't miss her, her hair's bright pink. I'll watch out for those on my side.
