Summary: Dean and Lois split up when he went to save the world, and he got a black eye then.
Dean probably should have seen it coming, but he didn't. He had been stuck in just seeing her again, standing in front of him, and didn't think to duck before her fist met his eye. Two things were on his mind at that moment. One, his ex-girlfriend was smoking hot and two, she could throw a mean punch.
"Ow! Fuck!" His hand came up to his face and he jumped back as Lois went to strike again.
"There's a lot more where that came from!" She shouted, going after him.
He ignored the searing pain in his face and grabbed her in his arms, pinning her arms to her side. It wasn't easy. She fought back and even when pinned she was slamming against him to be free. "Jesus, Lo, chill!"
"Chill?! Did you just tell me to chill?!"
Dean couldn't help it. He kissed her.
It had been a long time, and felt even longer, since he had last seen her. When he told her he wasn't coming back. The look on her face had hurt him more than any punch she could throw at him, because the last thing he had wanted was to actually say goodbye to her. And now that he had her close again he couldn't let go.
Lois practically melted in his arms and returned the kiss, her body relaxing against his. Her hands came up to cup his face and she kissed him long and hard.
But then she stopped. She pulled back and glared at him, then smacked him across the cheek
"OW!" He shouted. "Stop!"
"No!" She stomped on his foot as hard as she possibly could. She tried to find words to scream at him, but they weren't coming to mind.
"What?!" He shouted. He hopped away from her, holding his face again and bent over a bit. "What the hell?!"
And words finally did come out of her mouth, only not the ones she intended to scream at him. "I love you!"
He glanced up, glaring. "Yeah..well I love you too!" He shouted back.
They stayed that way for several moments, glaring at each other while Dean figuratively licked his wounds. After a bit Lois let her composure slip and she let out all of the steam she'd been holding in. Tears escaped her eyes and she wiped them away quickly.
"If I invite you in...how long before you leave again?"
"I was kinda thinkin'...never," Dean said. He stretched carefully and stood up straight again.
Lois considered that for a bit and then moved aside to let him in. He wobbled up to her slowly and stopped right in front of her. "So help me...," her voice was pained and quiet, "If you-" He cut her off by taking her face in her hands and kissing her softly.
"Honey, I'm home," he whispered against her lips with a bit of a smirk.
