Fall, college, and financial obligations

Sep 27, 2005 00:02

Ah fall. The leaves are browning and beginning their seemingly endless discharge from their branch of birth onto the gradually cooling tera firma below. The clothes are layered and jackets become more common sights as they are needed for comfort not just as an accessory for bar hopping. However, one of the most tragic occurrences of fall is, without a doubt, the disappearance of skimpy shorts/skirts and even skimpier shirts from the bodies of the more attractive sex. As much as I'm looking forward to cooler weather and wearing layers and jackets again, I will surely lament the long-term retirement of such warm weather attire...but i digress.

So, as many of you don't know...or don't care to know, I started college at IUS this past August. Finally. After two years of bitching and self loathing I finally got the means to get my worthless ass to college. However, once I got there I realized that once you've taken care of older problems (feeling like I was wasting my youth and also feeling worthless for not doing anything with my life) new problems emerge. Ah such is life. So now that I'm on the path to a more rewarding and enjoyable life I now have to figure out means of paying for this newfound life. Bollox. So since I didn't get enough aid, and can't seem to get a damn workstudy job, I have to quit my old part time job at the loathesome Meijer and find employeement elsewhere. Maybe at a less despicable place...but I'm not holding my breath.

So now I bid you good folks adieu, and yes I mean the 3 of you that have ever read this on purpose, while I go and figure out a way to start getting paid for whoring myself out. I have standards though. I do...why don't you believe me?

nick out.
